SR DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Rightley McConnell

As Sr. Director Business Development, Rightley serves as an integratorĀ to ensure that new client engagement, project planning, and project management operate smoothly for seamless client experience.

From an early age, Rightley has always had an interest in technology, engineering, and building. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from DeVry University. After graduation he began his career at BenefitFocus.com working as a software engineer implementing code for electronic health benefit enrollment systems. Soon after, he moved to Precision Systems, Inc. (PSI), a company focused on developing software for medical devices, industrial controls, and other critical applications. During his 14+ year tenure there, he worked his way from a software engineer to project manager, then business development manager, and finally vice president of operations as he and the company grew. While working at PSI, he attended Villanova nights and weekends and earned his MBA with a focus in operational management and marketing.

Rightley has been hands-on in the development of numerous medical device projects for clients throughout his career. These include designing and coding firmware for an injectable resorbable polymer dispenser used as an alternative for surgical screws, developing and performing validation protocols for networked IVD hematology systems, root cause failure analysis of firmware resident on an in-market IVD device, a system to perform ultrasonic measurements in preparation for pseudophakic cataract lens replacement surgery, and a firmware V&V project to enable an infusion pump launch expansion. Through all these projects, Rightley has always enjoyed the client engagement aspect of his work the most. After a three-year entrepreneurial stint outside the industry, Rightley returned to medical device development with his current role at Archimedic.

Outside of work he enjoys traveling with his wife and son, snow skiing, watersports, and taking on the occasional home improvement project.
